Systematic Review With Meta-Analysis: Honeysuckle Therapy for EGFR Inhibitor-Related Rash

Last updated:

A systematic review with meta-analysis assessed the efficacy and safety of honeysuckle therapy for rash caused by EGFR inhibitors. Honeysuckle may alleviate severe rash and improve therapeutic response, and it also improved quality of life. No severe adverse events were documented among studies that reported safety outcomes.

1. What the Research Says

The review pools randomized controlled trials from six databases up to March 2025. The authors rate the certainty of evidence as low to very low and call for high-quality, large-scale, multicenter trials with standardized honeysuckle formulations, dosages, and outcome measures.

2. First Review on This Question

This is the first review on this question: it pools the existing individual studies, and there is no earlier review on it. Its result still needs to be confirmed by further studies.
